Scooter rideout Stockholm

Every wednesday there is a scooter gathering in Stockholm. At first coffee and chatting. The oldest scooter was a 1951 Vespa 125 and I think I saw some brand new PX150 as well. Of course some Lambrettas, my own TV 175 was one of them. About 15 scooters then went for a rideout through central Stockholm. And then came the rain!

Why is this so Vespa?

Here is a friend who pretends to be Darth Vader.
But why on earth publish this picture on a scooter blog?
Any clues?

Road-master from Fiamm

A bit to big, maybe.
But nonetheless extremely funky!
I found these horns three weeks ago at a fair.
Fabbrica Italiana Accumulatori Motocarri Montecchio SpA was started in the town of Montecchio, near Venice. In the 90's they bought the french firm Klaxon. They also bought several battery manufacturers. For the market in North and South America their plant FTI Cadillac makes 60 000 car horns each day! And they supply lots of air horns for General Motors.
Back to my horns; they're called "Road-master" and are from the late 60's. Unfortunately the compressor and maybe a relay was missing. Although the original cardboard box are present.
And they're 12-volt, originally built for cars like Maserati, Ferrari, Lancia, DeTomaso etc.
I've seen pictures of smaller Fiamm horns for Vespa or Lambretta, probably 6-volt. Maybe I should look for them instead?

I wonder if I can complain about the missing compressor?

Lambretta embellisher found

In november last year I said in this blogpost that the search for the Lambretta accessory "A201 Front Bumper" will begin. I might have found that, but it needs rechroming. Back to that later.
But I have also found "A205 Front Mudguard Embellisher", maybe. The seller says it's NOS (New old stock) and I believe him, it looks very nice. At least the pictures...I haven't laid my greedy hands on it yet.
But according to a leaflet the "A205" has "TV 175" written on it, while mine has "Lambretta" instead. Well, it should look great on my TV 175.

Riding a Lambretta TV 175

Paul S noted in a comment that there has been few blog posts from me this month. Right so, focus has been on getting the Lambretta TV 175 running. Had some issues with the clutch, and after that the clutch wire but that's sorted now.
Both the front and rear brake cables has been adjusted, I think they're pretty good for drum brakes!
I also like the long wheelbase, makes the ride smooth. And it fits my 186 cm height.
The 170 cc engine producing 8,6 bhp is nice, after riding a couple of 125's.
But there should always be time for more riding!

The speedo should go to 120 kph, this is after market.

The saddle is also two-tone.

Li 150 series II with unrestored LD 150 at an exhibition.

A nice series II TV 175, the LD once again in the background.

Some sort of race-Lambretta Luna.

Found an italian friend, a 1954 Fiat 500 C, "Topolino".

Street legal Lambretta TV 175

Month of May, with not so many blogposts from me. Been a bit lazy, sorry!
Today I got my Lambretta TV 175 from 1958 through the Swedish MOT. A bit tricky this time of the year, lot's of people wanting their two-wheelers examined and approved.
The young clerk (?) handed over a clean sheet with the words; "Funny little machine".
After that I took a ride in to Stockholms old town, and found an old Volvo 210, the station wagon built from the 50's into the late 60's, the Swedish name is "Duett". Yes, meaning duet and it was marketed as "two cars in one", salon and workhorse.
And it's summer!

A clean sheet, hooray!

Impressionist's Lambretta?

It's almost like a painting by a french painter from the 19th century, don't you think?
Actually it's the interior of the engine to my Lambretta TV 175 series 1 wreck.
Any useful bits? Don't know yet...
