Old key-ring from Piaggio

The company Fram-King from Helsingborg in the south of Sweden, became the new concessionaire for Vespa in Sweden in 1962. This key-ring was presented to the people from Fram-King that participated in a trip to Italy in 1970 (Well, it says so on the back of the key-ring). I suppose they visited the factory in Pontedera.
That's all I know!

Another Lambretta rim

This chromed Lambretta rim arrived in the mail today. A friend from southern Sweden put it up for sale, thanx Olof!
It will be the spare wheel for my Lambretta TV 175, series 1. But first it needs a coat of ivory paint. Only the outer part of the rim should be chromed. My painter fixed it on the two other wheels. Like this!

Lots of Lambrettas on lorries

More stuff from Vittorio Tessera's museum near Milano. The "Museo Scooter & Lambretta" opened in new premises in April 2011, a couple of miles from the old one in Rodano.
Top picture is blow up situated on one of the walls inside the museum. The lorry with trailer is filled with Lambretta 125 LD's, or maybe LC's.
Below is a toy lorry with "naked" Lambrettas, C, E and F? Displayed in a glass case with other toy models of Lambrettas.

The Vespa past is the future!

What we are looking at is a an old Swedish table cloth. I guess from the early 50's, maybe from the mid 50's.
It's a hommage to all two-wheelers on the Swedish roads. In the corners there are drawings of a couple on bicycles, a couple on mopeds, one guy on a small motorcycle and, of course, a lady on a Vespa. And on a Vespa that looks like a cross between a Vespa 98 and a Douglas Vespa, due to the headlamp on the front shield.
In the center there are traffic signs and names/logos of different two-wheel brands. Among them Lambretta, Vespa and Svalan, in the scooter field.
When I saw it I immediately thought of the Vespa 46, Quarantasei, the concept Vespa of the 2011 EICMA show in Milan. Will they build it? Rumours talk about a launch in december 2012.
Well, some lucky guy in Sweden has a nice table cloth, unfortunately it's not me!

I think it definitely looks like a 1946-1947 Vespa 98 cc.

The new Vespa 46, looks a bit like the one on the table cloth.

Stewardesses on the go!

Sorry, that I have to amuse you once again with the Swedish motoring magazine "Fart".
This time from 1960, with two SAS stewardesses on Vespas. Picture taken at Stockholm airport Arlanda?
The Vespa on the left is a "Touring", VGLA, and the one on the right ought to be a "Popolino", VNS.
The Popolino has a cool registration number, A 1960, A stands for Stockholm city, B for Stockholm county. The A 1960 plate might be a fake.

Wallet from the importer

I acquired this wallet today!
It has the Vespa logo stamped on one side when you open the wallet. On the other side sits the logo from the Swedish importer Como M&T Bjerke AB.
A very nice item, but no space for credit cards!

I tried to make it more readable with a pencil on a white paper.

Ah, Caterina Caselli!

Mi piace molto questa canzone, piu che Rolling Stones!
Did you know that Caterina Caselli later became a record producer and in 1992 discovered Andrea Bocelli?
