Mods vs Rockers: part two

Yes, more pictures. Mostly of the scooters, Vespa and Lambretta dominated even if there were at least two Zündapp Bellas. Some motorcycles here also, mostly english such as BSA, Norton, Triumph. Matchless etc, but I also spotted two Moto Guzzi.
Maybe I can write captions tomorrow.
I will post one more bunch of pictures, not as many...

Mods vs Rockers 2011 Stockholm

Today it happened. Mods vs Rockers in Stockholm! Yeah, I know I wrote Mods & Rockers before, and that's because the spirit is more of "&" than "VS". Maybe I'm an old hippie as well...
I haven't got the figures yet, maybe just under 100 scooters and 100 motorcycles. The winner is the gang with the most participants. At least the scooterists won the tug of war!
I will post more pictures later on. This first are the "arty" bunch captured with my phone and filtered by Instagram's "1977".

My own Vespa GS 1961.

Tomorrow: Mods & Rockers

Time for Mods & Rockers here in Stockholm. Note the "&" instead of "VS". This is a joint venture between lovers of old scooters, Vespa and Lambretta, and lovers of english motorcycles of yesterday (are there any today?).
Each side have different assembly points, then there is a meeting on a bridge in central Stockholm. Bystanders are both amused and appalled. Then there is a gathering for both sides and later in the evening party! Two mod bands and two rockers bands on stage.
I'll be there, even if I don't manage to attach the The Who patch on my m/51-parka.
Pictures here tomorrow!
