Great scooter rideout!

Some friends on Vespas and one Lambretta during The Visby Vespa Club summer rideout on the island of Gotland. It's my red Cosa far away in the picture. Later there was a gymkhana and it ended with a dinner.

At the local "brewery"...

2012's last scooter rideout

Me, myself and I, the town hall in the background.

A happy new year to all! Felice anno nuovo! Gott nytt år!
On this last day of 2012 there was a rideout in Stockholm. 14 scooterists showed up on this warm ( yes, +5 C) New Years eve. Most of the snow and ice had melted from the main streets. I took my Vespa PK 50 XL from my home to the meeting point at Nytorget, about 15 km's. Then the rideout inside the city with stops on Skeppsholmen and Riddarholmen. Much to the amusement of the tourists present.
Then a stop for coffe at bar in the Old Town of Stockholm. Then the Vespas and Lambrettas went home.
What a pleasant way to end 2012!
Welcome 2013!

Two of the oldest Vespas's, 1951 and 1953 with sidecar.

Mod-ish PX 200.

14 scooters were participating, Vespas and Lambrettas.

The tourists in the Old Town were busy with their cameras.

The scooters parked outside a café in the old town.

Six Vespa and one Lambretta

Scooter rideout in Stockholm yesterday. A couple of days before Mods vs Rockers on Saturday. (A mod-kitted Lambretta series III just passed our house, who dat?)
Six Vespas and my Lambretta showed up at the small café at Nytorget. Four PX's, one VGL and one GS 150 and my TV 175.
After espressos it was time for a rideout through Stockholm city, along Norr Mälarstrand and Söder Mälarstrand. A visit in a scooter and bike garage, and some more coffe ended the evening.

Mods & others

Wednesday is scooter day in Stockholm, even during the summer. Vespisti and Lambrettisti get together at a cafe' in the district of Södermalm. Coffee, cakes and chat before a rideout in the Swedish capital. This evening Stockholm Mod Scooter club was dominant.

Passers-by sometimes show an interest for our scooters, Lambretta or Vespa. The geeezer above is an englishman living in Stockholm. At the end of the 60's he was a mod back in England, and also racing his Lambretta GP. Now he feels the urge to become a scooterist again!
